With a degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Deborah boasts a wealth and variety of experience in the media field, which she first became acquainted with as a journalist in various areas (news, current affairs magazines and information relating to film), later specialising in film and TV as Head of Press.<\/p>\n

In 2004, the Almod\u00f3var brothers, Agust\u00edn and Pedro, recruited her as Head of Communication for the production firm EL DESEO and for Pedro Almod\u00f3var in Spain, where she worked alongside them for eight years.<\/p>\n

From 2004 to 2012, Deborah was responsible for all of EL DESEO’s productions directed by Almod\u00f3var and other renowned directors, including:
\nThe Skin I Live In, Broken Embraces, Volver, The Holy Girl, The Headless Woman, La Vida Secreta de las Palabras, My Prison Yard, Jos\u00e9 & Pilar, Caravana, C\u00e9sar & Zain, El Cobrador: In God We Trust, The Last Summer of La Boyita, and the TV series Mujeres.<\/em><\/p>\n

Before that, she spent just under six years working for the distributor and producer FILMAX, where she was in charge of management tasks relating to presence at national and international festivals. Deborah worked as part of a team to promote no end of films \u2013 Amores Perros, The Machinist, The Nameless, Darkness, Open<\/em> Range and Being Julia<\/em>, to name just a few \u2013, as well as working on press campaigns with a number of international artists including Alejandro Gonz\u00e1lez I\u00f1arritu, Harrison Ford, Annette Bening, Kevin Costner, Kathryn Bigelow and Christian Bale.<\/p>\n

Today, her vast experience has led her together with ELLAS COMUNICACI\u00d3N<\/strong> to provide global communication services in different cultural disciplines, as well as lending customised guidance for artists in terms of their image, strategy and media placement.<\/p>\n

With a Law Degree from the Carlos III University in Madrid and having specialised in business management at London’s Westminster College, Elio is an expert in film communication and boasts a wealth of knowledge in the various media and professional profiles, with significant experience and renown in the audiovisual sector.<\/p>\n

She has worked as Head of Communication for the last twelve years, firstly at TESELA PRODUCCIONES CINEMATOGR\u00c1FICAS, and then for AT\u00cdPICA FILMS. Her work has not only involved developing and implementing communication campaigns for their productions, but also applying branding for directors and new actors.<\/p>\n

Elio has often worked with professionals that were unknown to the media, leading their image campaigns right from the inception of the project to ensure that, when the time came for their commercial launch, those \u201cunknown\u201d artists would be chased by the media.<\/p>\n

With a Degree in Spanish Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s in Cultural Management from the University of Barcelona, Nuria embarked on her professional journey as a freelance writer for various media.<\/p>\n

She spent more than six years developing her career abroad in the university academic field. Nuria has lectured at the National University of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) and at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (Guangzhou), and has also worked as cultural manager in close collaboration with several Spanish institutions abroad: The Spanish Embassy in Malaysia, the Spanish Consulate in Guangdong, as well as the Cervantes Institutes in Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.<\/p>\n

Nuria has had a hand in organising all kinds of cultural events, with special mention to be made of her planning and producing the first two editions of the Spanish Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n
