Te presentamos el tráiler de la película Acantilado, de Helena Taberna, que participará en la Sección Oficial del próximo Festival de cine de Málaga. La película, que se estrenará el próximo 3 de junio, está protagonizada por Daniel Grao, Goya Toledo, Juana Acosta, Ingrid García-Jonsson y Jon Kortajarena. Gabriel recibe la noticia de un suicidio colectivo de una secta en Canarias. Su hermana pequeña, a la que no ha visto en años, era una de las adeptas. Gabriel viaja a la isla y se sumerge en la búsqueda de su hermana desaparecida.

La película Los recuerdos llegará a las pantallas españolas el próximo 22 de abril distribuida por Filmax. Con más de un millón de espectadores, Los recuerdos ya se ha convertido en la nueva sensación en Francia. Basada en una novela de David Foenkinos (La Delicadeza), quien además firma el guión junto al director de la película Jean-Paul Rouve, El filme es una comedia con humor negro que habla sobre el amor y el afecto a partir de la tierna y profunda historia que el joven Romain comparte con su abuela. Los recuerdos está protagonizada por Mathieu Spinosi (Los ojos amarillos de los cocodrilos) y por los reconocidos actores Michel Blanc (ganador dos veces en Cannes como guionista por Grosse fatigue y como actor por Tenue de soirée, y premiado con un César a mejor actor de reparto por L’exercice de l’État), Chantal Lauby (Dios mío, ¿pero qué te hemos hecho?) y Annie Cordy (Las malas hierbas).

Acantilado es un filme inspirado en la novela El contenido del silencio de Lucía Etxebarría, y el guión lo firman Helena Taberna, Andrés Martorell y Natxo López.

Protagonizada por Dani Rovira, Carmen Maura, Carolina Bang y José Corbacho, entre otros, la película es una producción de Zebra Producciones, Proima-Zebrastur y Futuro Imperfecto Movie, A.I.E. y cuenta con la participación de Televisión Española. El futuro ya no es lo que era cuenta la historia de Kar-El, un conocido adivino que se gana la vida descifrando el futuro de los espectadores en una cadena local de televisión. Pero Kar-El también es Carlos, un tipo incapaz de comprender su presente, ni a sus hijos, ni a su exmujer… y ni siquiera a su madre, la prestigiosa actriz, Carmen Segarra. Carlos está en una encrucijada. Ha recibido la oferta de una televisión nacional  para ser el adivino estrella de un exitoso programa. El dilema es seguir con su impostura, aceptar la oferta,  y seguramente hacerse rico y famoso… O tirar todo por la borda y luchar por el sueño de su vida: ser actor. They have previously worked on films such as: Marshland, Unit 7, After, 7 Virgins, and more recently on El Hombre de las Mil Caras. Preparations for the series will take place all through the year, with shooting set to start in late 2016. La Peste, a production by José Antonio Félez for Movistar+, will comprise six 45 minute episodes. This fictional thriller is set in 16th century Seville during the outbreak of the plague (hence the title of the series, meaning The Plague), which hit one of the most important and wealthiest cities of that time, leading it into decline. “We aim to make a series that is interesting not just because of the story we tell, with its plot and characters, but also as a reflection of life during that era, with its traditions and morals. We want to give viewers some insight into everyday life in 16th century Seville. We feel so lucky that Movistar+ has given us the opportunity to take on such an exciting project. The whole team will be giving our all in an effort to respond to the trust they have placed in us and achieve a result that is worthy of everyone’s hard work.” (José Antonio Félez). La Peste is based on an original idea by Alberto Rodríguez with a screenplay by Rafael Cobos (Winner of the Goya Award for Best Screenplay in Marshland). Backing the director will be his usual team of technicians, all of whom are great professionals with brilliant careers in film-making, as acknowledged by a number of Goya Awards. The team includes Alex Catalán (Director of Photography); Pepe Domínguez (Artistic Director); Fernando García (Costume Design); Yolanda Piña (Makeup and Hairstyling), Juan Ventura (Digital Effects Coordinator), Julio de la Rosa (Music) and Manuela Ocón (Production Director). In the words of Alberto Rodríguez: “La Peste is a story about detectives, but deep down it touches on the conflicts linked to power, politics, religion and other issues from a long-distant era, which can nonetheless be applied to the present day. Some problems stay with us forever because they are bound to human nature.”

A Perfect Day will be showing in  New York,  Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, San Diego, Seattle, Santa Fe, Minneapolis, Houston and Madison. The film premiered worldwide at the Directors’ Fortnight during the past edition of the Cannes Film Festival, and has been sold practically all over the world by WestEnd Films. It has also successfully premiered in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, Eastern Europe, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria  and the Netherlands. A Perfect Day is also set to premiere this year in France, Scandinavia, Japan, Canada, Latin America, Australia and Hong Kong.

The screening was attended by members of cultural and sports related press, the film industry, celebrities and various specialists in alpinism, mountaineering and dangerous sports. The event was introduced with a presentation by climber and celebrity Jesús Calleja, who shared his experience with the audience about one of the most dangerous eight-thousanders of all: Mount Everest.

The film is running for Best Comedy Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Film Poster. The winners of the 3rd edition of the Feroz Awards will be announced on 19 January.

Hugo Silva and Michelle Jenner join forces once again after a decade of not working together to play Jorge and Nuria, the main characters; Véronica Forqué and Óscar Ladoire play her parents, who would do anything for her, while Ernesto Sevilla and Belén Cuesta are their friends, the kind that every tangled up comedy needs. The screenplay is the work of David Serrano himself (with other work including The Wrong Side of the Bed, Soccer Days, Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar, Venus in Fur, and Lluvia Constante), together with Diego San José (Spanish Affair 2, Spanish Affair 1, Lovestorming, Friend Zone).
